Bill Belichick, Tom Coughlin among coaching semifinalists for the Pro Football Hall of Fame

Bill Belichick and Tom Coughlin are among the nine coaching semifinalists for the Pro Football Hall of Fame's Class of 2026. Both coaches have faced each other in two Super Bowls, with Coughlin's Giants winning both times, while Belichick has secured six Super Bowl victories with the Patriots. Other semifinalists include Mike Holmgren, Chuck Knox, Buddy Parker, Dan Reeves, Marty Schottenheimer, George Seifert, and Mike Shanahan. Coughlin, Holmgren, Knox, Reeves, Schottenheimer, Seifert, and Shanahan were also semifinalists last year. Holmgren advanced to the finalist stage previously but did not receive enough votes for induction. The coach blue-ribbon committee will convene on November 18 to select a finalist for the Hall's selection committee's consideration.
