Steelers cut DB Trenton Thompson

The Steelers cut backup defensive back Trenton Thompson, who joined the team during the 2023 training camp. Thompson, 26, played in six games last season before landing on injured reserve. He had 22 tackles and an interception. The addition of drafted safety Ryan Watts may have influenced Thompson's release. Pittsburgh also confirmed the release of wide receiver Denzel Mims.
