ESPN insider believes the most likely outcome this offseason involves trading Brandon Aiyuk. The San Francisco 49ers have several contract decisions to make, including extending Aiyuk, who is considered one of the best wide receivers in the NFL. However, a trade could be beneficial for the team's salary cap situation in the immediate future and potentially provide additional draft picks. ESPN's Dan Graziano believes that trading Aiyuk and drafting a replacement in the first round would be the cleanest way for the 49ers to address their other needs. While it may be a difficult decision, trading Aiyuk could allow the team to maintain their core and make upgrades in key positions.
