The Chicago Bears have made two unsurprising moves by releasing safety Eddie Jackson and center/guard Cody Whitehair. These releases will save the team around $21 million in salary cap space for 2024. Jackson, a fourth-round pick in 2017, had an impressive career with the Bears, starting 100 games and earning two Pro Bowl selections. Whitehair, a former second-round pick, has started 118 games for the team but has seen a decline in his play in recent seasons. The Bears will now need to find replacements for these two starters.
