The Chicago Bears have the third-most salary cap space in the NFL, with $66.99 million. However, they have some dead money following recent cuts to safety Eddie Jackson, offensive lineman Cody Whitehair, and quarterback P.J. Walker. Jackson, a First-Team All-Pro and two-time Pro Bowler, had his play decline, resulting in his release and clearing up $12.56 million in cap space. Whitehair, a Pro Bowl player, also saw declining play and was released, creating $9.15 million in cap space. Walker, signed as Justin Fields' backup, was cut before the start of the season. Overall, the Bears have $10.53 million in dead money for the 2024 season.
