The Chicago Bears recently had three players, Devin Hester, Steve McMichael, and Julius Peppers, make it to the Pro Football Hall of Fame. This raises the question of who from the Bears' history deserves to be inducted next. One strong candidate is linebacker Lance Briggs, who had an impressive career with the Bears. Though not as good as Brian Urlacher, Briggs still has a strong case for the Hall of Fame. He led the team in tackles in 2009 when Urlacher was injured, and he has impressive stats, including six career defensive touchdowns. Briggs has been nominated for the Hall of Fame but has not yet made it to the semifinalist stage. He deserves recognition as one of the best linebackers of his era.
