The Los Angeles Chargers have hired former Chicago Bears head coach Marc Trestman as a senior offensive assistant. Trestman, who was fired by the Bears in 2014, will be joining the Chargers coaching staff under new head coach Jim Harbaugh. Trestman's tenure in Chicago was not successful, with a 13-19 record and no winning seasons. However, he did serve as the offensive coordinator for the Baltimore Ravens from 2015-2016. The Chargers are hoping Trestman can help improve their offense and support quarterback Justin Herbert.
