The Chicago Bears have released offensive lineman Cody Whitehair and safety Eddie Jackson. Whitehair, a second-round pick in 2016, played 124 games over eight seasons with the Bears, starting at center and guard. He was selected to the Pro Bowl in 2018. Jackson, a fourth-round pick in 2017, played 100 games over seven seasons with the Bears and was voted to the Pro Bowl twice. He suffered a season-ending foot injury in 2022 and was limited to 12 games in 2023. Only long-snapper Patrick Scales remains on the team from before Whitehair and Jackson.
