The Denver Broncos have added two coaches to their staff: Pete Carmichael as senior offensive assistant and Jim Leonhard as defensive pass game coordinator/defensive backs coach. Leonhard, a former NFL safety, had previously coached at his alma mater, Wisconsin, before spending last fall as a senior football analyst at Illinois. He has interviewed for defensive coordinator positions in the NFL and is likely to land a DC role in the future, either with the Broncos or another team. If current DC Vance Joseph leaves the Broncos, Leonhard is a strong candidate to replace him.
