The Denver Broncos are set to hire Jim Leonhard as their new defensive backs coach, replacing Christian Parker who joined the Philadelphia Eagles. Leonhard, a former NFL safety, played in the league from 2005-2014 and spent one season with the Broncos in 2012. After retiring, Leonhard began coaching at his alma mater, the University of Wisconsin, and eventually served as the Badgers' defensive coordinator and interim head coach. He later worked as a senior football analyst at Illinois before returning to the NFL as part of the Broncos' coaching staff under defensive coordinator Vance Joseph.
