Broncos offensive line grades: Ben Powers

Ben Powers, the Denver Broncos' free agent acquisition, has had a solid first season with the team. Known for his dominant run-blocking skills, Powers proved to be a great asset in the run game, displaying fundamental technique and strength. He performed well in pass blocking, only allowing four sacks throughout the season. However, his weakness was blocking the bull rush, as defenders were able to collapse the pocket using this move. Despite this, Powers had more good blocks than bad in the passing game. He showed intelligence and awareness in recognizing blitzes and making split-second decisions. Overall, Powers has been a valuable addition to the Broncos' offensive line and is considered the better of the two free-agent linemen brought in before the 2023 season. His role and fit within the interior line are praised, and he could provide veteran support if the team decides to make changes at center.
