Report: NFL salary cap expected to be much higher than initially projected

The NFL salary cap for the 2024 season is expected to be higher than initially projected. The Cleveland Browns, in particular, will have more flexibility in free agency with the ability to save $66 million in cap space through restructured contracts. The previous expectation was for a cap of around $243 million, but it is now anticipated to be closer to $250 million. This means the Browns can spend around $8 million more in cash this offseason. The additional cap space provides the team with more options and flexibility in case attractive deals arise. The official salary cap figures will be released in March.
