Bucs QB Baker Mayfield gives praise to new OC Liam Coen

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have hired Liam Coen as their new offensive coordinator, replacing Dave Canales who left to become head coach of the Carolina Panthers. Coen previously served as the offensive coordinator for the Kentucky Wildcats and worked with the Los Angeles Rams. Bucs QB Baker Mayfield, who worked with Coen in 2022, praised the hire, stating that Coen's offensive style is similar to the system the Bucs currently run. Mayfield also mentioned the importance of continuity within the offense for the skill players and offensive line. The Bucs interviewed several notable candidates for the position, including Jerrod Johnson, Alex Van Pelt, and Antwaan Randle El.
