Buccaneers included Baker Mayfield in their search for a new offensive coordinator

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have named Liam Coen as their new offensive coordinator. In their search for a coordinator, the team included quarterback Baker Mayfield in the process, asking for his input on the coaches they were interviewing. This was a first for Mayfield. Coen and Mayfield know each other from their time together in Los Angeles in 2022. The offensive system Coen will run is similar to the one installed by previous coordinator Dave Canales. The Buccaneers' approach to hiring their new coordinator suggests that they want to keep Mayfield on the team, but the future remains uncertain.
