Baker Mayfield wins NFL on FOX's Comeback Player of the Year award

Baker Mayfield has been named the NFL on FOX's Comeback Player of the Year. While the Associated Press award will be announced later, Mayfield won the fan-voted award from NFL on FOX. After a challenging season with the Carolina Panthers and Los Angeles Rams in 2022, Mayfield impressed with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2023, throwing 28 touchdowns and just 10 interceptions. His performance in the playoffs, with six touchdowns and three interceptions, was particularly notable. The AP award will pit Mayfield against other contenders such as Demar Hamlin, Tua Tagovailoa, Matt Stafford, and Joe Flacco. Mayfield's future with the Bucs will depend on the team's willingness to offer him a favorable contract in free agency.
