The Kansas City Chiefs and the Hunt family have launched an emergency response fund called "KC Strong" in response to the shooting that occurred during the Super Bowl Champions Parade. The fund will support victims and their families, violence prevention, mental health services, and first responders. The Chiefs, Hunt Family Foundation, and NFL have made an initial donation of $200,000 to the fund. The United Way of Greater Kansas City is partnering with the Chiefs for this initiative. One person has been confirmed dead and 22 others were wounded in the shooting.
