The Indianapolis Colts were encouraged by their rookie quarterback, Anthony Richardson, despite him only starting four games before getting injured. General manager Chris Ballard praised Richardson's passing ability and pocket presence. While the Colts had hoped Richardson would start all 17 games, they recognized there will be growing pains in his second year. They also praised Richardson for handling the spotlight and pressure of being a highly-drafted starting quarterback. The Colts plan to build on the foundation Richardson has laid both on and off the field. They also have more flexibility in free agency now that they are no longer paying a quarterback big money.
