2023 Rookie Review: Colts CB Juju Brents flashes physicality, competitiveness, upside

Indianapolis Colts cornerback JuJu Brents had a challenging rookie season due to injuries. He missed OTAs and minicamp with a wrist injury, then had a hamstring injury that kept him out of the first half of training camp. He also missed Weeks 1 and 2 and had another hamstring injury in the season finale. Despite the injuries, Brents showed promise on the field. He forced a game-changing fumble in his NFL debut and had strong coverage against key receivers. He excelled in press coverage, allowing a successful play when targeted just 43.2% of the time, one of the lowest rates in the league. Brents aims to focus on his health in his second year with the Colts and be ready for the upcoming season.
