The Washington Commanders have hired Sharrif Floyd as their assistant defensive line coach. Floyd previously worked with head coach Dan Quinn in Dallas. Floyd, a former standout defensive tackle for the Minnesota Vikings, had his playing career cut short due to a nerve injury. He filed a malpractice lawsuit against Dr. James Andrews and the Andrews Institute. Floyd played 44 games in the NFL, recording 95 tackles and 9.5 sacks.
