The Kansas City Chiefs won in overtime to become Super Bowl champions for the second year in a row. Patrick Mahomes was named the Super Bowl MVP. The Chiefs' defense blitzed frequently and generated nine unblocked pressures in the game. The 49ers' head coach, Kyle Shanahan, has blown a 10+ point lead in all three Super Bowls he has coached. The 49ers have made it to eight conference championship games since 1995 but have not won a Super Bowl during that time. Mahomes became the first quarterback in NFL history to win a Super Bowl while carrying the largest cap hit. Nick Bosa had an impressive performance, generating 10 pressures in the game.
