Eagles’ report cards: Grading Philadelphia's rookie class entering the 2024 offseason

The Philadelphia Eagles had a promising rookie class in 2023, with several players making an impact. Jalen Carter, a defensive tackle, had a strong start to the season but saw a decline in production later on. He finished the year with 6 sacks and was a finalist for Defensive Rookie of the Year. Nolan Smith, a first-round pick, had limited playing time but recorded 18 tackles and 1 sack. Tyler Steen, an offensive lineman, saw some action but struggled in pass protection. Safety Sydney Brown had an up and down season before suffering a torn ACL. Cornerback Kelee Ringo started seeing playing time later in the season and finished with 1 sack and 1 interception. Tanner McKee, the third-string quarterback, did not see any playing time. Moro Ojomo, the final pick of the draft, had limited playing time. Cornerback Eli Ricks, an undrafted free agent, made the initial roster and had some notable plays but also had some struggles. Overall, the rookie class showed promise and had some standout performances.
