The Philadelphia Eagles will have a new defensive backs coach for the third year in a row. D.K. McDonald is leaving to become the Kansas Jayhawks' co-defensive coordinator and DBs coach. It is unclear if McDonald was fired or his contract expired, but the Eagles were not interested in having him back. McDonald's departure is notable as he had a close relationship with head coach Nick Sirianni. The Eagles will be hiring Miami Dolphins safeties coach Joe Kasper to fill the position, which is a bit unusual as they haven't used that title before. The new DB coach is likely to have ties to new defensive coordinator Vic Fangio.
