The Philadelphia Eagles have signed outside linebacker/edge rusher Julian Okwara, who finished the 2023 season on the Detroit Lions practice squad. Okwara was a third-round pick in the 2020 NFL Draft and showed promise in his second season with five sacks, six TFLs, nine QB hits, one forced fumble, and one interception. However, injuries have hindered his performance in the past two seasons. The Eagles are taking a chance on Okwara, adding him to their 90-player offseason roster to compete for a spot on next year's team. The signing comes at a position where the Eagles need depth, especially if Haason Reddick is traded.
