The New York Jets have several interesting in-house free agency decisions to make. In terms of safeties, Jordan Whitehead, Chuck Clark, and Ashtyn Davis all have expiring contracts. Whitehead had 4 interceptions and 97 tackles last season, Clark is a versatile player with a high football IQ, and Davis is a ball magnet who led the team in turnovers. On the defensive line, Quinton Jefferson and Solomon Thomas, who both had impactful seasons, are also up for free agency. The Jets may also focus on retaining their kickers, Greg Zuerlein and Thomas Morstead, who had impressive performances last season. Additionally, the status of offensive tackle Mekhi Becton, who became a fixture in the lineup but had injury concerns, will be a point of interest. The Jets have multiple expiring contracts on the offensive line and will need to address this area in free agency and the draft.
