Safeties Reset | Three Jets Combined for 10 INTs; 2 Could Be Free Agents

Last season, the New York Jets had 17 interceptions, with three safeties accounting for 10 of them. Jordan Whitehead had 4 interceptions, while Tony Adams and Ashtyn Davis each had 3. However, the Jets will have to address the free-agent situation as Whitehead, Davis, and Chuck Clark all have expiring contracts. Clark, who was acquired in a trade with Baltimore, suffered a torn ACL during OTAs. The Jets signed veteran Adrian Amos to replace him. Currently, Adams and Jarrick Bernard-Converse are the only safeties under contract. Adams had 83 tackles and excelled against the run. Davis had 6 takeaways and was praised by head coach Robert Saleh for his work ethic. Whitehead had a strong season, recording three interceptions in the Jets' season opener.
