Julian Okwara, the younger brother of Romeo Okwara, has signed with the Philadelphia Eagles, officially ending the era of the Okwara brothers on the Detroit Lions' defensive line. Julian, a fourth-round pick in 2020, spent his first four years in Detroit but never became a full-time player. His most productive season was in 2021, where he recorded five sacks in 13 games. Julian was waived in the 2023 season but returned to the Lions' practice squad. With Julian's departure, the question now remains whether Romeo will return to the Lions in 2024, as his contract officially voids soon.
