The Detroit Lions are releasing safety Tracy Walker as a cost-saving measure. Walker posted a heartfelt goodbye message on Instagram, thanking the city, fans, and the Ford family for his six years with the team. Walker's release was anticipated due to his decline in performance last year. Releasing him will create $5.5 million in cap space but leave over $7 million in dead cap. Walker was a third-round pick in 2018 and finishes his Lions career with 79 games, 398 tackles, 23 passes defended, and three interceptions.
