Don’t expect the Packers to use the Franchise Tag in 2024 (as usual)

The Green Bay Packers are unlikely to use the Franchise Tag on any of their pending unrestricted free agents in 2024. The Franchise Tag allows teams to retain negotiation rights with players set to become free agents. The tag offers a one-year guaranteed contract, but the amounts are typically near the top of the market for the player's position. The Packers have used the tag only once in the past 13 years, tagging wide receiver Davante Adams in 2022 before trading him to the Las Vegas Raiders.
