The Carolina Panthers' 2023 rookie class has been ranked amongst the worst in the NFL. Despite having the No. 1 pick, the Panthers received a D+ grade. The prime disappointment was Bryce Young, the first overall pick, who struggled throughout his rookie season due to the lack of elite weapons and cohesion on the offensive line. The firing of head coach Frank Reich midseason may have also hindered Young's growth. Other rookies, such as wide receiver Jonathan Mingo, outside linebacker DJ Johnson, guard Chandler Zavala, and safety Jammie Robinson, did not perform well either. In contrast, the Houston Texans, who picked after the Panthers, ranked at the top of the list.
