Baker Mayfield hinted at organizational dysfunction during his time with the Carolina Panthers. He mentioned that the organization's top-down approach and lack of unity affected the team's success. Mayfield was released by the Panthers in December 2022 and later signed with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. In Tampa, he had a successful season, setting career-highs in yards and touchdowns. Mayfield's comments about organizational dysfunction are not new, as tight end Hayden Hurst previously mentioned similar issues. The Panthers now have a chance to learn from Mayfield's success with the Buccaneers.
