Troy Brown, the wide receivers coach for the New England Patriots since 2021, has been offered the opportunity to stay with the team. Although the Patriots have added an assistant wide receivers coach this offseason, it does not necessarily mean that Brown's time with the organization is over. The specific role he would have under new head coach Jerod Mayo is still unclear. Under Brown's leadership, the Patriots' wide receivers have struggled with inconsistent production and player development. Despite this, his successor seems to have a potential role in mind for him. The Patriots still have two other coaching positions to fill, tight ends coach and special teams assistant.
