Patriots set to hire Taylor Embree as running backs coach, per report

The New England Patriots are set to hire Taylor Embree as their new running backs coach. Embree, who spent the past three seasons on the New York Jets staff, visited Gillette Stadium in Week 18. The 35-year-old coach will join head coach Jerod Mayo's staff and work alongside offensive coordinator Alex Van Pelt. Embree has had previous coaching experience with the Kansas City Chiefs and San Francisco 49ers. His father, Jon, is currently an assistant head coach for the Miami Dolphins. The Patriots' previous running backs coach, Vinnie Sunseri, moved on to the University of Washington.
