Latest Tee Higgins news not good for receiver-needy Patriots

Rumors suggest that the Cincinnati Bengals will use the franchise tag on wide receiver Tee Higgins, which is bad news for the New England Patriots who are seeking a playmaking wideout. Higgins had a productive season with 42 catches for 656 yards and five touchdowns. Despite missing some games, he has been a consistent performer and a valuable complement to JaMarr Chase. It is unlikely that the Patriots will have a chance to acquire Higgins, as it seems the Bengals will not let him enter free agency. While this is not a major setback for the Patriots, it does limit their options in revamping their passing game.
