The Las Vegas Raiders have hired DeShaun Foster as their running backs coach. Foster, 44, previously served as the running backs coach at UCLA, his alma mater, since 2017. He had a successful playing career, being drafted by the Carolina Panthers in 2002 and playing for them until 2007. Foster also spent the 2008 season in San Francisco, accumulating 3,570 rushing yards in 79 NFL games. He has been coaching at UCLA since 2012, with a brief stint at Texas Tech in 2016. Foster has a connection to the Raiders as he coached running back Brittain Brown, who was on injured reserve during the 2023 season. Foster joins a group of former NFL players, including Gerald Alexander, Ricky Manning, and Andre Carter, who have been hired by new Raiders head coach Antonio Pierce.
