Raiders hiring former NFL head coach Joe Philbin as assistant

The Las Vegas Raiders have hired former NFL head coach Joe Philbin as their senior offensive assistant coach. Philbin joins head coach Antonio Pierce's staff, which is adding experienced coaches. This includes former Cincinnati Bengals coach Marvin Lewis. Pierce's former coach with the New York Giants, Tom Coughlin, is also expected to advise him. Philbin previously coached the Miami Dolphins and was the interim head coach for the Green Bay Packers. He has 19 seasons of NFL coaching experience and has ties to the Raiders through his time in Green Bay.
