Former Raiders players Art Powell and Eric Allen were finalists for the Pro Football Hall of Fame but did not make the final seven for induction. Powell, who played for the Raiders from 1963-1966, earned first-team All-Pro honors in 1963. Allen, who had a 14-year career with the Eagles, Saints, and Raiders, made five Pro Bowl teams and finished with 54 regular-season interceptions. Allen is approaching his 20th year of eligibility and may have to rely on the senior category for induction. Powell, already in the seniors category, will have another chance next year.
