Raiders coaching staff 2024: Getting to know Mike Caldwell

The Las Vegas Raiders have hired Mike Caldwell as their linebackers and run defense coordinator. Caldwell, who was the defensive coordinator for the Jacksonville Jaguars in 2022-23, will now join the Raiders coaching staff. If the Raiders defense performs well in 2024, Caldwell could be a potential replacement for defensive coordinator Patrick Graham if he gets a head-coaching job. Caldwell has previous playing experience as an NFL linebacker for six teams from 1993-2003. He has been an NFL assistant coach since 2008, with previous coaching stops in Philadelphia, Arizona, the Jets, Tampa Bay, and Jacksonville. Caldwell joins a group of former NFL players hired by Raiders coach Antonio Pierce, including Gerald Alexander, Ricky Manning, DeShaun Foster, and Andre Carter.
