Brett Maher, the Rams kicker, had an eventful season in 2023. He was initially cut after struggling in Week 7, but was brought back later in the season when his replacement also struggled. Maher performed well in the playoffs, making all his kicks. Now, as a pending free agent, his future with the Rams is uncertain. In his eight games with the Rams, Maher had a solid performance, making most of his kicks except for a few long-distance attempts. The Rams have used different methods in the past to find kickers, so they may choose to go in a different direction.
