The Seattle Seahawks have made some significant moves recently. They have hired Jake Peetz, a pass game specialist from the Los Angeles Rams, as their new pass game coordinator. Peetz will be working under new Seahawks head coach Mike Macdonald and offensive coordinator Ryan Grubb. Peetz has been coaching since 2006 and previously worked with Rams head coach Sean McVay. In addition to this coaching hire, the Seahawks have decided to keep Geno Smith for now and will guarantee his salary. While there is still a possibility of trading Smith, it seems likely that the Seahawks will stick with him as their quarterback for the time being. This hiring of Peetz and the decision regarding Smith adds to the list of departures from McVay's coaching staff, as several other assistants have left for promotions and new roles in the past month.
