The Baltimore Ravens have promoted Chris Hewitt, their Defensive Pass Game Coordinator and Secondary Coach, to the role of Associate Head Coach. Hewitt, who has been with the Ravens since 2012, will now also fill the position of former Ravens Defensive Line Coach Anthony Weaver as Head Coach John Harbaugh's top assistant. Hewitt has been instrumental in developing the Ravens' defensive backfield, producing multiple Pro Bowlers and All-Pro seasons. This promotion comes as the Ravens have seen several key defensive assistants leave this offseason. Keeping Hewitt in an elevated role not only benefits the team but also increases the chances of him being hired as a head coach in the future, potentially earning the Ravens compensatory picks.
