The New Orleans Saints are considering trading down in the NFL draft to acquire more picks and strengthen their roster. In a recent mock draft, the Cincinnati Bengals traded up with the Saints to select playmaking tight end Brock Bowers. In return, the Saints received a third-round pick and selected Texas defensive tackle Byron Murphy II. The Saints also used their second-round pick on Washington's quarterback Michael Penix Jr. and their third-round pick on Penix's teammate, wide receiver JaLynn Polk. Although the Saints' general manager, Mickey Loomis, has not traded down since 2007, this could be the year for a change.
