The New Orleans Saints are focused on improving their run game in 2024, and they are bringing in former Gary Kubiak assistants to help. Offensive coordinator Klint Kubiak has hired John Benton as the offensive line coach, and now Rick Dennison is joining the coaching staff in a yet-to-be-determined role. Dennison has worked with Kubiak before and has experience as an offensive coordinator and run game coordinator. Both Dennison and Benton were part of a successful Houston Texans offensive line and rushing attack. The Saints hope to replicate that success with their own rushing scheme. While Dennison's exact role is unknown, he will likely be working with the offensive line and run game. The Saints are looking for improvements in their rushing attack to take pressure off their quarterback and give their defense more rest. These coaching hires show that the Saints are being strategic and hoping for positive results.
