2023 Player Review: Tyrann Mathieu

In his 11th season, Tyrann Mathieu, also known as the Honey Badger, continues to show signs of life. He played a significant role in helping the New Orleans Saints defense improve from second to last in forced turnovers in 2022 to third in the league in 2023. Mathieu led the team with four interceptions, proving he still has the skills of his former self. One of his standout performances was against the Atlanta Falcons, where he intercepted the quarterback twice. He finished the season with 75 total tackles, 9 pass breakups, 4 interceptions, and a touchdown. Looking ahead, Mathieu is expected to remain a key player for the Saints, as they don't have a clear backup plan for him. While the team may consider developing a young player through the draft, Mathieu's solid performance this year suggests he will continue to be a standout player next season.
