Former New Orleans Saints offensive coordinator Pete Carmichael has officially joined the Denver Broncos as a senior offensive assistant. Carmichael, who spent 15 seasons with the Saints, will be reunited with former Saints head coach Sean Payton, who is now the head coach for the Broncos. In Denver, Carmichael will work under offensive coordinator Joe Lombardi. Despite some criticism in recent years, Carmichael is considered one of the most experienced offensive coordinators in the NFL. He has also coached several players who now play for the Broncos. His addition could potentially help improve the performance of quarterback Russell Wilson and wide receiver Jerry Jeudy, who struggled last season.
