The Seattle Seahawks had a disappointing 2022 season, resulting in the departure of head coach Pete Carroll and the promotion of John Schneider to President of Football Operations. Schneider, who has been the Seahawks general manager since 2010, now has full control of personnel. Despite uncertainty surrounding key players and new coaching staff, Schneider doesn't envision a step back for the team. He believes that with new ideas and philosophies, the team can come together quickly and merge their efforts. Schneider points out that there are promising young players on rookie contracts who can contribute to the team's success. He hopes for improved results in 2023 and doesn't see 2024 as a gap year.
