Steelers officially release OT Chuks Okorafor

The Pittsburgh Steelers have officially released offensive tackle Chuks Okorafor, as reported by the NFL transaction wire. This move was made to create salary cap space, freeing up $8.75 million. The team still needs to cut around $4 million more to reach cap compliance. Okorafor was benched in October after criticizing the team from the sidelines. With his departure, Broderick Jones and Dan Moore Jr. are the only viable offensive tackles left on the roster, making this a top offseason need for the Steelers.
