William Gay hired by Commanders as DB coach

Former Pittsburgh Steelers cornerback William Gay has been hired as the assistant defensive backs coach for the Washington Commanders. Gay, who played for the Steelers from 2007-2011 and 2013-2017, was known for his durability, having never missed a game in his 11-year career. After retiring from playing, Gay worked as a coaching intern under Mike Tomlin in 2019 and coached defensive backs at Missouri State in 2020. He also participated in a coaching fellowship with the Dallas Cowboys in 2023.
