The Houston Roughnecks will be playing their 2024 season at Rice Stadium in Houston, according to the United Football League (UFL). The UFL is a result of the merger between the USFL and XFL. The Roughnecks, previously known as the Houston Gamblers, will wear the same uniform and colors as the XFL team from last year. The UFL released their 2024 schedule, with the Roughnecks playing their season opener against the Memphis Showboats on March 31. Season ticket holders can select their seats before tickets go on sale on February 12. Single-game tickets will be available starting on February 20. The Roughnecks' head coach, CJ Johnson, expressed excitement about kicking off the season at Rice Stadium. The UFL regular season begins on March 30, with each team playing six in-conference games and four inter-conference games. The UFL Conference Championships will be held on June 8 and June 9, followed by the Championship game on June 16.
