Former Houston Texans player J.J. Watt considered unretiring to join the team during the season. He was monitoring the Texans' and Steelers' situations but nothing came of it. Watt stated that he was pleased with how things went and would have only considered returning if it would have propelled a team to a potential Super Bowl. The Texans will need to find other ways to boost their pass rush moving forward, as breakout player Jonathan Greenard and midseason addition Derek Barnett are both unrestricted free agents.
