The Tennessee Titans have used void years to accelerate the salary cap for four players into 2024. Ryan Tannehill, Derrick Henry, Azeez Al-Shaair, and Sean Murphy-Bunting will all have a cap hit of over $18 million in 2024. Void years are a method used by NFL teams to delay cap hits. The Titans needed to use this method to acquire players in 2023, but they now have plenty of cap space for 2024, estimated to be over $65.2 million. This gives them flexibility to sign new players without relying on void years. The Ryan Tannehill/Derrick Henry era of the Titans is officially over.
